By default, students can view a Panopto video as soon as it has finished processing.

Set an availability period

1. Open the course in Canvas and click Panopto Video in the course navigation menu.
2. Find the video and click the Settings icon (gear). The button appears when you hover over the video. In the settings window, make sure Overview is selected on the left.
   

   

3. Scroll down to Availability.
   
4. Select starting and until, and then choose when the video should be available to students.

To close access to a video, change the availability dates so the viewing period has ended.
