Canvas is the University of Iceland’s learning management system (LMS). Each course has its own course site, which is created anew each academic year or each time the course is taught. On the course site, students should find the syllabus, learning materials, lectures, assignments, and other course-related resources. Canvas at UI offers a wide range of tools aligned with pedagogical research, designed to boost student engagement and support instructors’ teaching approaches. Canvas is developed by the company Instructure.
