Do you need a sandbox course?

A sandbox course is a practice course in Canvas. It allows a teacher to experiment, build content, test new tools, or store material they may want to use later in their courses. It is easy to copy or import content from a sandbox course into an active course site. In practice, a sandbox course is simply a regular Canvas course without students.
