People and Groups
People shows who is enrolled in your course. If your teacher uses groups, you may also be able to view course groups, see which group you belong to, and open your group home page to work with other group members. In some courses, you may also be able to join, leave, or switch self sign-up groups.
You can usually open People from the Course Navigation menu, but your teacher may choose to hide that link. If that happens, some group options may not be available there. You can also access your groups from the Groups link in Global Navigation.
Each group in Canvas has its own home page where group members can work together. You may use it to share files, create pages, post announcements, and join group discussions. If your work is for a group assignment, make sure the final submission is made through the assignment in the course, not just in the group area.
