A student may sometimes run into technical difficulties and need the teacher’s help to submit, or miss the deadline but send the work to the teacher by email. In Canvas, a teacher can submit an assignment on behalf of a student.

1. Go to the course gradebook by clicking Grades in the course navigation menu.

2. Click in the student’s grade cell for the assignment, then click the small arrow on the right side of the cell.
   

3. Click the Submit for Student link on the right side of the screen.
