FeedbackFruits Discussion on Topic

Purpose
Discussion helps students develop reasoning and communication skills. It gives them opportunities to learn from one another, respond to questions, explain their ideas clearly, use the language of the discipline, and connect concepts and theories with their own knowledge and experience.

The purpose of a discussion should be clear, and time should be set aside at the end to summarise key points or conclusions. Different teaching approaches can be used to support discussion, and the Setberg website includes examples of methods such as think-pair-share.
